What are Airbricks?
Airbricks are ventilation blocks built into walls to allow air circulation in cavity walls
or under suspended floors, typically near ground level. They prevent dampness and provide
important ventilation, but will let floodwater in if unprotected.
Standard Airbricks
Traditional rectangular blocks with regular holes/slots in a grid—usually plastic, clay, or cast iron.
Double Air Brick
Taller than standard single airbricks, typically 5 or 6 holes high.
Weep Vents
Small openings in cavity walls that allow moisture to drain out, often at the base of walls.
Irregular Airbricks
Non-standard openings (custom shapes/slatted/decorative) or ones used for utility penetrations.
